Let heaven descend and earth rise up, when the pre-eternal Mind opens His mouth, born in the cave of my soul of the Holy Spirit and the Most Pure Virgin.
His words drop upon the graveyards, and the ashes begin to grow green and to blossom.
Those rejected by the world, and those who have rejected the world, run out to meet Him, while the favorites of the world flee from Him in horror.
— I and the Father are one. Before man was, I am. Thus speaks Wisdom, born in your virginity, O my soul. Listen and understand your eternity, lost in the ashes of time.
Every soul that does the will of the heavenly Father may be called the mother of the Wisdom of God. —
Thus speaks the Wisdom of God, born of the Holy Spirit within you, O my soul:
I am the life and the resurrection of the dead. Whoever severs his bond with me severs his bond with life, and becomes like a cloud of smoke, in which there is neither light nor moisture.
You who think that you are alive, but are in truth a dead cloud of smoke, moved by a chance wind, come to me, and I will fill you with light and with water, with true light and living water, and you will be alive in truth.
You who come to me willingly and fill yourselves with my life, you lose yourselves as the world fashioned you, and become one with me, as I am one with the heavenly Father.
Truly, you will not fear time, for time is the whip of the world, and belongs to the world and not to me.
Nor will the waverings in time and space confound you, for all waverings are the fancied whistling of the whip across the playground, and belong to the world and not to me.
I give you my peace, which time cannot gnaw, nor space constrict, nor all the waverings of the world cause to waver.
Those filled with the world are emptied of life, and are slaves of the world. Those filled with life are emptied of the world, and are sons of life.
I am full of life, and death has no part in me, not so much as the point of a needle. Therefore the world does not know me, for there is no world in me. The world knows only its own, as life knows its own.
And truly, I am the most unknown guest in the world. I have come to offer, not to take. From my fullness I offer; from nothing there is nothing to take. My fullness is the fullness of God, who sent me into the world, that I might give myself to the world, and bring the graveyards to life, and then return again to the kingdom of life. I and life are one. Before Adam, I am; and after Adam, I am. —
O my soul, rise from the dead! While your Resurrector is within you, rise from the dead! When He departs from you, you will be able to do nothing but bear the dead and bury the dead.
Turn yourself into hearing and into obedience, O lifeless offspring of my soul, and rise from the grave.
