My Lord is the Resurrector. He raises the dead from morning to dark, and from dark to dawn.
What the morning buries, the Lord brings to life in the evening; and what the evening buries, the Lord brings to life in the morning.
What work is more worthy of the living God than to raise the dead to life?
Let others believe in a God who contends and goes to law with men.
I will hold to the God who raises the dead.
Let others believe in a God who draws not near even to the living, when they call Him.
I will bow down to the God who keeps His ear inclined even over the graveyard, and listens for whether someone cries out for resurrection and a Resurrector.
Gravediggers bury and keep silent. The Lord unburies and cries aloud.
A mother buries her daughter; the Lord unburies her. The Lord is a better mother than a mother.
A father covers his son with earth; the Lord uncovers him. The Lord is a better father than a father.
A brother buries his brother; the Lord raises him. The Lord is a better brother than a brother.
The Lord has neither tears nor smile for the dead. All His heart is for the living.
The world wails for its own in the graveyard; the Lord seeks His own with song, and wakes them.
Raise up my spirit, O Lord, that my body too may rise. Make Thy dwelling in my spirit, and my body will be Thy temple.
My neighbors say in their anxiety: will this our body rise again?
If you have once renounced yourselves, and no longer live for yourselves, then your body is as though already risen.
If your body is the temple of God Most High, then the Resurrector is within you, and your resurrection is being brought to completion.
Our body changes; many bodies until now have we called our own. Which of them will rise?
Perhaps none. But surely that one — if you have had it — which clearly expresses the Word of God.
O my Resurrector, death does not rise, for death was never even alive.
Thou art the Resurrector and Thou art the Risen One, for Thou art Life.
Only that seed rises in which Thou hidest Thyself, and only that part of it which is Thou.
Only that spirit wilt Thou bring to life, which even now lives by Thee and not by the world.
Only that body wilt Thou preserve, which has begun to be filled with the Holy Spirit in this present time.
That which in the graves is the Living Lord, that will rise to life.
No one can raise the dead but the Lord, and no one can rise from the dead except the Lord.
For He is in His holy ones. Truly He is in His living ones, both in the grave and above the grave.
